NFFM® Hands-On Clinical Training

Precision, presence and clinical judgment in touch-based care

In NeuroFascial Flow®, hands-on work is about more than identifying an area of tension and making it move. It asks clinicians to determine what the system is protecting, whether contact is welcome and appropriate, and how much input can be integrated without unnecessary re-bracing or overwhelm.

The Hands-On Clinical Training pathway develops advanced manual applications of NFFM® for appropriately qualified, licensed practitioners.

Areas of study

  • Palpation and observation.

Build awareness of tissue tone, movement relationships, protective recruitment and changing responses.

  • Neurofascial clinical reasoning.

Explore the Dural Fascial Kinetic Chain model, neurostructural fluidity and regional relationships while maintaining appropriate differential diagnosis.

  • Touch safety and consent.

Match intensity, timing and context to the individual, their preferences, the professional relationship and legal scope.

  • Somatic Tuning in real time.

Observe shifts suggesting readiness, adequate dose, or the need to pause and return to support.

  • Integration.

Reassess meaningful function, support agency and plan what belongs between sessions.

A layered pathway

The Hands-On component builds upon the core NFFM® professional framework. Applicants should confirm prerequisite education, their professional eligibility and any required clinical immersion with the admissions team. Participation does not expand professional scope or substitute for licensure.

Why the Five Steps still govern manual work

Even excellent technique can become another demand when timing or dose doesn't fit. The Five-Step Framework helps clinicians consider preparation, invitation, intervention and integration as one clinical process. Change is introduced with awareness of the system's response rather than predetermined force.
